“The Timewarp of Parenthood"

From what I remember,
Just a short, long time ago,
I had a baby
And my life was all aglow.

I held the baby boy
Tight to my chest,
With his little head in my hand,
He started growing with the rest!

Meanwhile, I kept busy,
For my son was my whole life.
Because I was a new mother,
His life became joined with my life.

Then, one day I looked up
And I was looking at a young man.
In my heart, he's a baby,
In my physical world, he became a man.
