Looking for a bit of help w/ the pen sacrament. I've tried it twice now. I am on no medications. Tried to take 3 hits w/in 40 seconds, and hold each for 10 seconds but it's so harsh I cough like a huge bong rip and lost it. Saw some closed eye fractals for a minute or two, but that was about it. Attempt#2 started a little better. I thought everyone was asleep and the house was finally quiet (which is tough w/ kids and pets). Tried several smaller puffs so I wouldn't choke, and by the 3rd or 4th one, my eyes were closed, things were starting to happen, and I sort of lost the ability to take another puff. At that exact moment my teenager comes out of his room and started talking to me. As soon as I opened my eyes, I was shaky but basically back to normal instantly. After about 30 seconds, he went back to his room, I closed my eyes again, but my experience was over.
Before the interruption, I had sort of surrendered and was ready to accept anything that was to come. Is that how it's supposed to start? And then you kind of fall into a trance? If there are disruptions or interruptions like I had, will that instantly pull you out of an experience? Or does the person generally just remain out of it for 5 or 10 minutes regardless of what's happening in this world, until they come back?
